Engler, and raised their two children. During those years she was involved in Reading for the Blind, The League of Women Voters, Girl Scouts, and her church. Upon her husband's retirement in the early seventies, they moved to Pensacola where they lived until his death. During those years they enjoyed Newcomers and bridge clubs. In 1989 she married Bryan Isbell and resettled in Cantonment until his death in 1997.

"Happy Anniversary Gran and Emma was an active member of Olive Baptist Church where she served the Lord faithfully. There has never been a more compassionate, kind, and giving woman. Her strong love for Christ has influenced everyone she knew and her faith in God never waiver.
A heartfelt thanks goes out to Ms. Linda Taylor, Linda was Emma's caregiver and quickly became a member of the extended family. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Bob Ervin, Gayle and John Wiley; her sisters, Annie Fowler, Julia Middlebrooks; grandchildren, Robin Smith, Lesa Price, Eric Ervin, Wendy Kimbro, Jonathan Wiley; nine great grandchildren who she loved with all her heart. Funeral services will be at 1 PM Wednesday, April 28, 1999 at Olive and Baptist Rev. Church with Dr.
